ImagesByName People wave one complete!
The last package was turned in about 4 hours ago and I’ve just finished getting everything set up for a full public release on Friday. Users of meta<browser> 2.0 will have access to them now via theHTPC.net plugin.
I can’t thank the contributors enough for the outstanding job they have done over the past, nearly, 8 months. 14,587 edited/new images were turned in – absolutely incredible!
I hope that you will all appreciate and enjoy what these guys have done. It will be a terrific compliment to any HTPC frontend that can use them.
Awesome work everyone! For those of you that have been patiently waiting, check back Friday for the link to the new People package!

Hi,
I have noticed that I am getting a number of security alerts from my AntiVirus software when I update my Cast members with the new files. Is anyone else having this issue, or is it just me.
Great work by the way, the world is a better place..;-)
cheers

False alarm. What are you doing to update? metabrowser? It’s been reported more than once, but there are no viruses in any image.

Yes, using metabrowser. I used to get this a year or so ago, then it stopped, and then from yesterday it started happening again.
I recall it was afalse alarm last time, so not worried that it is a real virus, it just throws my AV software in to fit..!
cheers

That seems to be when it’s happening…I think it’s the way it’s doing the requests or something. I looked it up some time ago and found the technical reason it’s triggering certain AV programs, but have forgotten. I can assure you there’s no virus in any of those images.
