Media Browser 2.0.8.0 released.

Things just keep getting better and better over at Media Browser.  Version 2.0.8.0 was released yesterday evening and it’s bringing even more to the table.  I don’t know how they keep finding so much to add with all the activity going on in the development of this plugin.

First, we have a couple of new views available:

Coverflow

and a revised Thumb Strip

Also, the details screen has been completely revamped and the old one has been removed (as far as I can tell).

Actors

There is supposed to be embedded actor thumbnail retrieval now, but I left mine open all night and was only able to pull down a couple.  I haven’t really looked into, but we’ll see how that improves over time.  It’s definitely going to be a huge improvement.  You can still add your own by using the ImagesByName folder withing the Programdata/MediaBrowser directory.

The settings/configuration page is also starting to look better and include a little more control without having to sift through the XML configuration file settings.

All in all, a bunch of new features were added, as well as bug fixes.  If you’re on an earlier version, you’ll definitely want to grab this release now!

There is also a new Quick Start Guide available if you’re new to Media Browser.

Have you seen thogmorton’s New MCML Layou: http://www.mediabrowser.tv/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=465&start=340

I think it’s much nicer than the original version.

Yes. It’s a bit busy and muddled for my taste, but there are some things I like about it.
