The techinsane asylum known as engadget has posted a video showing a new jailbroken Apple TV running XBMC. They did report some occasional choppiness with 1080p material…even with the ARM-enabled hardware acceleration, but let’s not overshadow the absolute cool factor this has. The thing is less than $99.

Instructions on how to do this can be found on the XBMC Wiki. You must do the jailbreak procedure before your Apple TV will be able to do this.
