Flatwire.

The concept isn’t exactly new as I’ve seen flat Ethernet, telephone and audio cable. However, this is the first time I’ve seen flat power-ready cabling.

Flatwire is bringing just that, and applications are very interesting.  Flatwire is flat power cabling that you run on top of your existing walls to an outlet that is fixated with a special plugin adapter.  The wiring can then be puttied over and painted for seamless application or directly painted over.  I’d also imagine that it can be run under carpets and other places where wiring could not go before.  I could really see how this could be useful for those that aren’t that handy in wall mounting plasma/LCD screens or overhead projectors.

Anyway, it looks interestig, but I have no idea what something like this costs per foot/unit.

Definitely can’t say that any application for it I could have would be worth that much over doing it myself (or paying someone else).
